Easel Card Gift Boxes
These easel card gift boxes are probably one of my favorite little craft projects to make! Once you've crafted one, you'll find yourself wanting to whip up a million more. They effortlessly fuse creativity and functionality, transforming your gift-giving into a delightful experience. With their vibrant colors and ingenious design, these boxes are not just containers; they double as charming displays that keep the excitement alive!
What You’ll Need:
Cardstock: Choose vibrant colours or patterned paper for added flair.
Scissors: For precise cutting – no jagged edges allowed!
Adhesive: Double-sided tape or glue sticks work wonders.
Ruler: To ensure your folds and cuts are spot on.
Bone folder: Optional, but it helps create crisp folds.
Embellishments: Stickers, ribbons, or stamps to jazz it up.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Cut Your Cardstock:
Cut 4 pieces of 3 1/2” x 8” cardstock; score these on the 8” side at 1”, 3 1/2”, 4 1/2”, and 7”.
Cut 4 pieces of 4 3/8” x 5 3/8” cardstock; score on all 4 sides at 1 inch.
Cut 1 piece of plain cardstock measuring 6”x6” (this will be covered up).
Cut 1 piece of decorative paper measuring 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” for the overhang on the bottom.
Cut 1 piece of cardstock measuring either 6” x 12” (scored at 6” & 9”) or a 6” x 11” piece (scored at 6” & 2 1/2”).
Cut 1 decorative piece of 6” x 6” paper.
Cut 4 pieces of decorative paper measuring 7/8” x 3 3/8”.
Cut 4 pieces of decorative paper measuring 7/8” x 2 1/4”.
Create the Box Bottom:
Using your plain 6”x6” piece of cardstock, glue the four shells for your boxes in alternating directions to ensure each box will slide out smoothly.
Attach the Top to Your Box:
Attach the 6 inch piece of your 6” x 12” (or 6” x 11”) cardstock to the top of your boxes.
Construct the Easel:
Fold the 3” (or 2 1/2”) section of your paper towards the back to create a stand.
Adhere your decorative 6x6 inch piece of cardstock using glue to the easel mechanism.
Add foam squares to some of your inside decorations to ensure your card stands proudly.
